COVID 19 FAQ

Dear Space Age Member,
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world around us, and like you, we have questions and concerns as the daily events unfold. Through it all we are here to support our members and communities. We will keep you informed with up-to-date information about safety changes at the branches so that you can rest assured that banking with us will be the safe and friendly experience that you are accustomed to at Space Age.

COVID-19 FAQ

With the Stay-At-Home Order in place, what is the best way to do my banking?

Online Banking is the easiest and safest way to do your banking. You can do this either by enrolling in our Internet Banking Service on the Space Age website or on your phone or mobile device with our Mobile App.

You can also pay your Space Age Loans online with our Loan Payment Service from an account with any financial institute or even with a debit card.

Are your branches open and available?

The Jeffco Branch is conducting regular business via the Drive-Up window, Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. The lobby is closed to foot traffic.

The Marketplace Branch lobby is closed. Nearest teller services will be available at the Canvas Credit Union Drive Thru on Evans Ave. (6901 East Evans Ave.). Get Directions here

CASH transactions are not available at the Marketplace while the lobby is closed. Sorry for any inconvenience. If you are in immediate need of a debit, credit or ATM card, please call 303-369-7666. We can find the best way to help you.

Social Distancing Measures: Our Financial Service Representative are available by appointment only. This is to ensure your safety and theirs by controlling contact situations between members and our staff. Outside third party vendors have limited access to our branches and corporate offices for the same reason. If you need to make an appointment with a Financial Services Representative, please send an email to financialservices@spaceagefcu.org.

Call Centers: Our Phone Representatives are operating with normal hours, Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM and are available to help you with your banking questions.

How are we assisting our members that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic?

Space Age is understanding of any financial hardships you may face during the pandemic. If you are experiencing a hardship, please let us know and we will work with you to help you get through it. All hardship cases are being reviewed on a case-by-case basis. 

How do I make my loan payment since the credit union lobbies are closed?

Space Age has many convenient ways for you to make your loan payment each month that do not require you to come in to one of our branches.

If you prefer to visit a physical branch location, I am happy to take your loan payment over the phone for you right now – or every month if that is easiest for you.  Please note there is a $6.50 convenience fee added to loan payments made over the phone.

  • You are happy to make a payment directly to our loan on our website 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Simply click on the yellow “Make a Loan Payment” button located in the upper right hand corner next to the Internet Banking sign-in portal.  Please note that there is a $6.50 convenience fee added to loan payments made this way.
  • You can directly mail us your loan payment at 3005 S. Parker Road, C-300, Aurora, CO 80014. 
  • You can also leave your loan payment in the Night Drop box at the Marketplace Branch. The Night Drop will be checked hourly between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:30 pm and transactions will be processed in a timely manner.  You can also us our drive up window at our Jeffco branch if you would prefer to work directly with someone.
  • You can visit any shared branching location closest to you, and make a payment on your loan. To find your nearest shared branching location, visit our website at www.spaceagefcu.org and scroll down to “Find an ATM or Branch”.  Simply put in your zip code, and local shared branching locations will appear.

How do I deposit checks now that the credit union lobbies are closed?

Have you downloaded Space Age’s mobile app on your phone? Within the mobile banking app, you can remotely deposit checks using your phone’s camera. To download the app, simply go the Google Play or Apple store and search for “Space Age Credit Union”. The app is free to download and use.

You can also deposit checks within the Night Drop located at Marketplace. The Night Drop will be checked hourly between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:30 pm and transactions will be processed in a timely manner. Checks can also be deposited at any deposit taking CO-OP ATM, Shared Branching location or our drive thru facility at our Jeffco branch in Golden, CO.

How do I get cash now that the credit union lobbies are closed?

If you usually bank at our Marketplace branch, you can get cash from a shared branch location. The closest drive up shared branch location is Canvas Credit Union off Evan Ave. Their address is 6901 E Evans Ave, Denver, CO  80224.

If Canvas Credit Union’s Evans location is not convenient for you, you can find your nearest shared branching location by visiting our website at www.spaceagefcu.org and scrolling down to “Find an ATM or Branch”. Simply put in your current location and local shared branching locations will appear.

You can always get cash from any CO-OP ATM. These are found at most credit unions and are usually accessible whether they are open or not.  All CO-OP ATMs are surcharge free. To find your nearest CO-OP ATM location, visit our website at www.spaceagefcu.org and scroll down to “Find an ATM or Branch”. Simply put in your current zip code, and CO-OP ATMs near you will be listed.

If you usually bank at our Jeffco branch, feel free to use our drive up window between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. Staff inside the branch are happy to assist you.

I need an ATM card so I can get cash.

We can mail you a card. This should take between 7-10 business days. If you need it sooner than that, please give us a call and we will make arrangements (Time and Date) to meet you outside the front of the Marketplace Branch. Stay in your car, someone will bring you the ATM card. When you arrive outside the credit union, give us a call at – 303-283-4701.

I have lost my debit card, how do I get a new one?

Please note that there is a $5 fee for replacing a lost card.  We can mail you a new ATM card. This should take between 7-10 business daysIf you need one sooner, please give us a call and we can make arrangements.

I need to get a cashier’s check, how can I get one?

You can get a cashier’s check at your nearest shared branching location.  To find your nearest shared branching location, visit our website at www.spaceagefcu.org and scroll down to “Find an ATM or Branch”.  Simply put in your zip code, and local shared branching locations will appear.

If you need one from us, please give us a call and we will arrange a day and time that you can come by the branch to pick one up. When you arrive, please stay in your car and call – 303-283-4701 Someone will bring the Cashiers Check out to you.
